Chapter 1. The Basics

The name RELUS stands for REliable Universal operating System. Its aim is to be a multipurpose operating system suitable for all kinds of computers, ranging from small embedded devices to supercomputers. Its purpose is NOT to be a toy for wide public people, who even don't know the basics of computer science. Its purpose IS to be a useful tool for computer professionals. That's why it emphasizes the reliability features, based on real time, verification, etc. techniques.

RELUS is an open source LINUX(tm) based operating system released under the GNU public license to allow the wide most participation of all professionals on its development and profit from using it.
